Our clear labels are made of a polyester stock.  After printing on the label, we cover it with a clear laminate.  Therefore, the print of your label is protected between two waterproof materials.  Our adhesive does an excellent job of resisting water damage.  Other chemicals, soaps, etc. may have an alternate effect on the label material and the adhesive.
